Airdrie MLA Angela Pitt is looking back on the year that was.

With legislature wrapped up for 2016, the Wildrose Party member reflects on the ups and downs.

"The year of 2016 was actually a very emotionally charged year, for myself, and the people of Alberta."

It's been a busy year, with everything from fighting the carbon tax, to addressing the deaths of children while in government care.

"I just wanna thank everybody in Airdrie for the support that they've showed me so that i can represent their interests in the legislature to this government." she said.

Pitt says that legislature will resume for the Spring session sometime in February.
