Charges have been laid to the owner of the trucking company involved in the Humboldt Broncos bus crash.

 Alberta Transportation Minister Brian Mason announced Wednesday that Sukhmander Singh of Adesh Deol Trucking is facing charges following an investigation by Alberta Transportation. 

Singh is facing charges of non-compliance with multiple federal and provincial safety regulations. 

Jaskirat Singh Sidhu the driver in the semi that collided with the bus was charged earlier this year with multiple counts of dangerous driving causing harm and dangerous driving causing death. 

Sixteen people were killed in the incident and another 13 were injured including Airdrie's own Ryan Straschnizkti who was paralyzed following the incident. 

Eight charges have been laid against the trucking company owner, including failing to maintain logs for drivers hours of service, three counts of failing to monitor the compliance of a driver under safety regulations and two counts of having more than one daily log for any day. 

Singh will appear in court on November 9th in Calgary.
