The Calgary Stampede continues to attract crowds heading into it's final weekend.

Once again, AIR 106.1 had the chance to venture through the grounds on July 13th, a day that hit 30 Celcius by the afternoon.

Aside from the usual attractions of the afternoon rodeo and performances from the Stampede Showband, we ventured indoors to cool off and see the animals.

The Agrium Western Events Centre featured some of Alberta's finest farmers showcasing everything from eggs to goats and even lambs. A live auctioneer even stood on the podium, taking the audience through a mock cattle auction.

Away from the hustle and bustle of the midway and busy parts of the grounds was the Indian Vilage. A staple at the Stampede for many years, the Indian Village begin their daily activities with the raising of the Treaty 7 Nation flags, the Canadian Flag and the flag for the Blood Tribe.

The Calgary Stampede will end it's 2017 run on Sunday, July 16th.
