For the first time in 15 years an Airdrie monument is getting some much needed tender loving care.

Throughout the month of September, City crews have been sanding and repainting the Korean Totem Poles in Nose Creek Park.

The poles were originally established in 2003 to signify the relationship between Airdrie and its sister city Gwacheon, South Korea.

The project should wrap up within the next couple weeks.
