A group of dedicated ladies have set the goal of raising at least $10,000 for local charities.

By joining forces to raise money for a cause of their choice, 100 Women Who Care get to socialize while making a difference.

"It's a way to make a local impact in a short amount of time, so I think its a great concept for getting women together to support our community," said Jane Leblanc, 100 Women Who Care leader.

100 Women Who Care has chapters across Alberta and it was only a matter of time until one was formed in Airdrie.

Cochrane's group raised $6,530 for Big Hill Lodge in March.

For the first meeting, Airdrie's group will be getting together at 7pm on September 20th at the Toad and Turtle.
