With summer in full swing, Albertans are enjoying a little down time.

In the case of Airdrie Wildrose MLA Angela Pitt, its business as usual.

"We've got a socialist government running this province and the opposition is certainly not going to take a break at all, even over the summertime." said Pitt.

As concern mounts over the NDP's increasing tax, Pitt vows to continue her party's battle no matter the time of year.

With Wildrose Leader Brian Jean on the road for his 'On Your Side' town hall tour, Pitt is happy with the way Airdrie kicked things off.

"Great turn out of people, tons of people I've never seen before, which is great, that are certainly concerned for the future of this province, and really are engaged and interested to see what the Wildrose party has planned."

As the summer goes on, the Wildrose lead all other parties in terms of membership and funding, with $467,131.13 raised in the second quarter vs. the NDP's $362,824.52.

With the 'Unite The Right' movement remaining a major subject of discussion, Pitt has her doubts about Jason Kenney and the PC party.

"I dont believe that the PC party of Alberta is a conservative party, so that's gonna be a battle in itself, and then where that goes should he [Jason Kenney] win, whatever does happen is certainly up to the members and the people of this province as to how they wanna see that go forward."
