As Airdrie Hockey player Ryan Straschnitzki continues to recover in Calgary, he recently gave some good news to his family.

On Wednesday night (April 25th) Ryan's Dad Tom was at a charity event for the Humboldt Broncos when he received a call from Ryan saying that he moved his toes.

The news was uplifting to the entire family and those at the event, where Tom later told the crowd about the call.

Just hours earlier, Ryan and his family spoke about his recovery at the Foothills Hospital where he continues his rehabilitation after being paralyzed from the chest down following the Broncos bus crash.

Although Tom said that it might have been just a twitch, it's still a good sign for a hockey player who continues to not let anything keep him from the love of hockey.
