The Airdrie & District Victims Assistance Society has announced the appointment of a new Executive Director. 

 Michelle Wagner officially began her new role with the organization on September 4th.

" I joined as the executive director this September and its been going wonderful, its a fantastic organization with amazing volunteer and amazing staff. I could not ask for a better role." 

Wagner brings over 10 years of program management, project management, leadership and communications experience to the organization.

Wagner has also been involved with community organizations such as Creative Airdrie, Artember, Rotary Club of Airdrie and is the current Culture Chair of the 2020 Winter Games. 

Michelle says she is excited to be utilizing this role in her community. 

"I have had the opportunity to be on the board since 2013, so now I'm transitioning from being part of the governance board over to operations and for myself, being an Airdrie resident I'm really excited to be able to make a difference in our community"
