Airdrie RCMP are trying to identify a man that pulled a knife at the Toad 'n' Turtle Pubhouse & Grill on Saturday (January 27).

Police were dispatched around 11:30 pm. According to Cst. Dan Martin, the unknown man was sitting at the bar by himself and became upset that no one was talking to him.

"We don't know if he was feeling lonely or what, but at one point he pulled a knife and stabbed it into the bar and made some threatening comments towards the staff there."

No one was injured, and the man quickly got into a vehicle outside and left.

"He has been in the Toad and Turtle before. We're just reaching out to the public in hopes that we can identify him."

The man is described as Caucasian and was wearing jeans, a black toque, a black vest and a beige winter jacket.
