A snowfall warning is in effect as Environment Canada says that Airdrie's long warming trend is ending.

Meteorologists say that a low pressure system could bring between 15 and 25 centimetres to most of Southern Alberta from tomorrow morning (December 19th) to Wednesday night.

Areas south of Airdrie including Lethbridge and Pincher Creek could see the heaviest snowfall from this system.

A snowfall warning prompted Highway 93 Southbound to close as Banff was expected to be hit with a major snowfall. That snowfall warning has ended and the Highway is open.
