Students at Airdrie's Coopers Crossing School have recently coordinated a good drive where they plan to collect 1,111 pounds of food in just 11 days and donate it to the Veterans Association Food Bank.

The grade 3 class was disappointed to find out that the Calgary Veterans Food Bank in Calgary had been closed and decided to do something about it. As in part with a program that concentrates on one character value to better each month, the students coordinated a food drive to donate non-perishable food to the Veterans Association Food Bank.

The donation deadline is on November 8th.
