A local Airdrie man has gone missing in Montana and members of his family are in the U.S. state desperately searching for him.

37-Year-Old Cameron Collin was last seen nearly a week ago at a bachelor party 23 kilometres southeast of Billings, Montana.

Montana police believe he may have walked away from the bachelor party at the ranch and attempted to walk to Billings.

According to his sister Julia Collin, her brother was last seen partying at the rural property.  Julia says his friends put him on a couch after he'd been drinking in order to sleep it off.  The next time they looked for him, Cameron was gone.  Police were notified after Collin failed to show up at the wedding on Sunday.  They don't believe there is any evidence of foul play.

Collin's father and sister have been leading the search in Montana with many of his friends.  The area has also been swept by helicopter and planes.  His mother has remained in Airdrie and is working with Telus to try to extend the battery life of Cameron's phone to try to get a location.

Another search is planned for today on the property where Cameron went missing.  Plans are to dredge the Winding Pryor Creek on the property and cadaver dogs are being brought in to aid in the search.

Julia Collin says the ordeal has been overwhelming for the family but they are all trying to stay strong and positive that Cameron will be found.

Cameron Collin is described at 6'5 ft tall 200lbs and has a noticeable gap in his front teeth.
