Airdrie teen Wesley Seegmiller was involved in a serious accident in the early morning of Saturday, December 10.

After dropping off some friends at home, Seegmiller was driving home on Big Hill Springs Road when he collided with a guard rail on Range Road 13.

"He slipped on some ice, and the last thing he remembers is just seeing the guard rail and that was pretty much it." said Debby Seegmiller, Wesley's mother.

What happened next was nothing short of a miracle, just in time for the holidays.

"Right after it happened he didn't really remember too much but throughout the day he started piecing it all together," said Debby. "He mentioned that there was a family that stopped and wrapped him in a blanket and brought him in cause he would have froze."

The temperature overnight for that morning had called for -38°C with a windchill. Wesley had lost his phone, and there is no saying what could have happened if the strangers hadn't stopped.

"I'm so thankful, and so is my entire family for the help of this family," said Debby.

Debby took to social media, searching for those who came through for her son. She has since located an Airdrie woman, and is waiting to hear back from her.
