Tim Lowing has a real passion for the Airdrie community and wants to expand his reach and help out those who need it.

While Lowing has been in the media business for a long time, his love for photography has inspired a new way for him to help local charities and non-profits in Airdrie.

Over the years he has had a number of people come to him for support and has been involved in lots of different initiatives but wanted to finally create one of this own.

"The idea is just to raise them a couple of bucks."

He recently rebranded his website to be a place where he could not only share and sell his original works but use them to do some real good.

Lowing has taken a piece of local history and is making it available to people as well as charities and non-profits in the city to help them raise some money.

He says there are a lot of groups looking for help raising funds and he wanted to give back. Part of his mandate is social responsibility and says it's critical to support initiatives.

"How can we always make sure that we're giving of ourselves as well as producing good work."

He added he has a thing for bridges so for his first project, one of his most popular pictures, is of Airdrie's Nose Creek Bridge and he's now printed that photo on a couple of different mug choices and five to ten dollars from each mug purchase will go towards a local organization who he partner's with for three months.

You can also add a little extra to your payment if you want to donate more, there's no limit to what he hopes will be a popular way to help the community.

The best part is anyone can partner with him and he is hoping to keep the project going and help out as many of those groups as he can,

"I thought this would work for anyone who wants to partner with us so that's where it was really born."

From now until June 15, five to ten dollars from the sale of every Airdrie mug on the WEBSITE will go to the Airdrie POWER Women's Shelter Campaign. They can also be shipped directly to you and anywhere in the world.

Once the current campaign wraps up Lowing will announce who will be next to benefit from the sale of the mugs.
