The Calgary Stampede grounds will be filled with 4-H clubs from all over Alberta for this years annual 4H on Parade.

With approximately 40 clubs participating, animals of all kinds are taking part, as well.

Alexia Hoy, a 4-H Specialist for the Calgary Region, said 4-H on Parade is an important weekend for the club members.

"It provides an awesome opportunity for members from the across the Calgary region to get together and see what everybody else has achieved for the year. It gives everybody the opportunity to work together in that teamwork capacity and it just provides a networking opportunity for those members."

The weekend has a large range of events from a photography contest to a beef auction.

"We have a beef steef show, our sheep has a trimming and conformation show, we have canines doing obedience and agility, we have our photography is on display, a silent auction that goes on, we also have event shows, and there also the horse show," she said.

One addition to this years show will be a police dog demonstration that is scheduled to happen Saturday, June 4, afternoon.

4-H on Parade runs until Sunday, June 5, where the 4-H clubs will take town their displays and begin heading home.
