The United Conservative Party and its leader Jason Kenney will form the next government in Alberta, taking over from the NDP and Rachel Notley.

The UCP are leading or elected in 63 ridings, up from the 29 they held at the dissolution of the legislature.  The NDP have been reduced to 28 seats from the 52 they held as a majority when elected in 2015.

Every other party in the province has been shutout.

The results are still unofficial.
