The same day a staff member at the Sobey's Liquor Store on Main Street was assaulted as a man fled with stolen alcohol, another theft took place at the store.

Earlier in the day on February 12, a man walked into the store and filled a basket with bottles of liquor while a woman stayed in the lobby of the store. The man left without paying for the products and both suspects fled together in a maroon Dodge Durango with the Alberta license plate, number BLE 082. The plate was later reported stolen out of Airdrie.

The man is described as Caucasian in his late thirties and approximately 5'8" to 5'10". At the time, he was wearing a blue hoodie and a New England Patriots hat.

The woman is described as Caucasian in her early thirties with a tattoo on her right hand. At the time, she had a black eye.
