More than a month after he won his seat in the legislature, United Conservative Leader Jason Kenney will officially be sworn in as an MLA this afternoon (January 29) at 2:30pm.

Kenney won his seat on December 14th after former PC MLA Dave Rodney stepped down.

The former Federal Cabinet Minister was instrumental in the formation of the United Conservative Party after the Alberta PC's and Wildrose voted to merge.

Kenney won the leadership race last October and will sit as the leader of the Official Opposition.

MLAs will be back to work in the Alberta Legislature when the spring session opens on March 8th.
