Airdrie's bitter taste of winter has left you wondering how long you need to endure it.

According to Environment Canada, it'll be a while.

"Looking ahead through this week and next week, there's not really any significant change to cause the cold air to move out until next week," says Meteorologist Kirk Torneby.

Torneby says the above average temperatures in November paved the way for a Frigid Arctic Air Mass from the Territories to sweep it's way to us.

"The frigid arctic air mass which built down from Yukon and kinda slammed across the Province last Sunday into Monday has really cooled off the whole Province, well into the United States as well."

You can expect more Extreme Cold Warnings to hit Airdrie and Rocky View in the next few days.
