People who may be self-isolating or in quarantine because of COVID-19 will now have one less thing to worry about for the next two months.

The owner of Airdrie Registry, Kevin Hamilton says they received a government email yesterday (March 18) saying that all licenses and vehicle registrations that are due in March or April are now extended until May 15th because of issues surrounding the virus.

"Anybody with a driver's license renewal or plate registration can be extended to May 15th," says Hamilton. "So people who are quarantined at the moment don't have to come into the registry by the end of March to renew their March or April renewal.  So it's really letting people stay home who are quarantined to not have to worry about renewing their license or coming into the registry."
