Canadians could see a 3-5 per cent increase at the supermarket next year.

According to a recent report, the average Canadian family could spend up to $420 a month on groceries in 2017.

"Everybody knows it's a tough time out there economically for many families, and I think we just have to keep supporting each other," said Paul Hutlet, President/Founder, The Grocery Link.

The changes are being attributed to a number of factors, including Donald Trump's presidential victory and the country's upcoming Carbon Taxes.
