Gas prices in Airdrie have been on the come down lately, sitting just slightly below provincial average.

While the typical price in Airdrie for gasoline is 90.4 cents per litre, provincial averages are as high as 95.4. Compared to Calgary, Airdrie prices are just slightly more expensive compared to Calgary's 88.3 c/l.

Dan McTeague, Senior Petroleum Analyst for GasBuddy, says we could see prices rise.

"The balance in North American gasoline supplies that GasBuddy has pointed out over the last couple of weeks has given way to steadily increasing prices at the pump across most of Canada, as a result, Canadians should expect a continued rise in gasoline prices as most of the country celebrates mid–summer vacation this upcoming week"

McTeague adds that price may rise up to 2 cents in Alberta before the week's end.
