It's no surprise that the Real Estate Market is a tough business, especially for local condo owners.

Close to 150 units are for sale in the Airdrie and according to local Realtor Terri Stephens it's mostly because of the changing atmosphere.

"People are looking to move, go to a bigger property...they're upsizing, their going to their next level of home."

Stephens says that when it comes to buying houses in the city, it's the newer, shinier places that are drawing prospective buyers.

"The competition is very fierce. New home builders can offer incentives where pre-owned home owners can't"

Despite some of the setbacks, there is still a growing number looking to buy and Stephens says Condos appear to be good fit, especially for those who can't yet afford a single family detached home.
