Week four of the Douglas Garland trial started on February 6 and the afternoon saw strong emotions from the jury and the court.

During the trial, pilot Philip Gagnon testified, showing aerial photographs of the Garland property taken on July 1, 2014. Some of the photos appeared to show the three victims, Kathy and Alvin Liknes and Nathan O'Brien. The jury abruptly requested a break from the proceedings and were dismissed, as others in the courtroom broke into tears.

The day also saw testimony from Cst. Gerald Bouchard, who worked long days reviewing CCTV footage. He told the court how they were able to identify and track a truck believed to belong to Douglas Garland using the footage.
