How would you like to stay at the same time all year round?

It's not a dream, but rather something that the Alberta NDP are looking at, thanks to an initiative from Edmonton-Southwest MLA Thomas Dang.

"We reached out a bit to our stakeholders in agriculture, to my constituents and people like young families and teachers. We found that overwhelmingly a lot of people just don't want to have to change their clocks twice a year."

Here in Airdrie, Wildrose MLA Angela Pitt knows that a draft bill is coming in March and hopes to hear more from her neighbours.

"I'd certainly have to do my own consultations and I'm hoping that people will send me e-mails or phone calls into the office on what they actually think about Daylight Saving Time."

Although some would love to put an end to the annual time change, Pitt says there are some benefits.

"There's a lot of businesses that get extra hours of profitability in the summer time because of Daylight Savings."

Dang's draft bill will hopefully go to the Legislature in mid March with a plan ready for next year.
