Airdrie RCMP is investigating a theft from a vehicle and the fraudulent use of credit cards that occurred the night of May 27th, 2018 in Airdrie's Stonegate community.  

RCMP were alerted to a vehicle break-in on Stonegate Place on May 28th.  The vehicle was not locked and the suspect took a wallet from inside it which contained credit cards among other I.D. cards.

The stolen credit cards were then used six times at five different locations across Calgary and Airdrie before the victim noticed the theft and cancelled the stolen cards.

The total value of the theft was over $200 and the RCMP report that all purchases were made between 5:22 and 6:22 am on May 28th.

The male suspect who used the stolen cards is described as:

  • Caucasian male 
  • 20 to 30 years old 
  • Wearing a black t-shirt with graphics on the front and a black ball cap 
  • Full-sleeve tattoo on his right arm
