Four people who are said to be affiliated with the Syndicate Motorcycle Club in Red Deer are facing charges including kidnapping, forcible confinement and drug charges after an investigation by the Didsbury RCMP into an alleged home invasion and kidnapping with ties to an outlaw motorcycle club.

It started on June 17th when an alleged kidnapping and assault occurred where three suspects abducted two adult victims from a location in Olds.  They were driven in their own vehicle to the Syndicate Motorcycle Clubhouse in Red Deer and one of the victims was assaulted before they were both released.

Then on June 29th, three different suspects came to the same victim's residence in Didsbury and broke into the house.  They then stole the female victim's car and fled.

The Didsbury RCMP launched an in-depth investigation that was also aided by the Olds and Red Deer RCMP detachments, the Red Deer and Calgary General Investigation Section, the Forensic Identification Section, the RCMP Interview Assistance Team, ALERT in Red Deer and the K Division Gang Intelligence Coordinator.

Information gathered by the RCMP reveals that the Syndicate Motorcycle Club in Red Deer is a support club for the Hell's Angels Motorcycle Club - Nomads chapter.

On July 10th, four suspects were arrested without incident in Red Deer.  Following their arrest, a search warrant was executed at the Syndicate Motorcycle Club Red Deer Clubhouse and evidence was seized for further examination.

Then, on July 11th, a second search warrant was executed at a residence in Red Deer and cocaine, cash and further evidence was seized.

Four adults who are all associated with the Syndicate Motorcycle Club, all of Red Deer have been charged as a result of these incidents.

22-year-old Rachel Lynn Baskier faces three charges of kidnapping without a firearm.

35-year-old Kevin Michael Fix faces 11 charges including 3 counts of kidnapping without a firearm, 2 charges of uttering threats, 2 counts of assault, 2 counts of break and enter and commit the offense of forcible confinement, break and enter and commit the offense of extortion, and criminal harassment.

32-year-old Jessie Doreen Waugh faces four charges including two of break and enter and commit forcible confinement, possession of stolen property over $5,000 and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

36-year-old Joshua Bradley Noordhoff faces nine charges including two of uttering threats, two of failure to comply with a condition of a recognizance, two of break and enter and commit the offence of forcible confinement, break and enter and commit the offence of extortion, possession of stolen property over $5,000 and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

Staff Sergeant Chad Fournier of the Didsbury RCMP made the following statement.  "Combatting outlaw motorcycle gang members and their related organized criminal activities remains a top national priority for the RCMP.  Outlaw motorcycle gangs represent a threat to the safety and well being of Canadians.  Information gathering and a collaboration amongst several different units was crucial to the successful outcome of this investigation.  Disrupting criminal activity is a key component to crime reduction."
