College student, Shantelle Miller had an opportunity in May to take a trip to L.A to be on the Ellen DeGeneres show.

Miller who is a huge fan of Ellen, said she was inspired by Ellen's giving spirit and wanted to give back in her own way by giving the TV she won on the Baby Boomers vs. the Millenials Game on Ellen, to a family that was less fortunate.

In a letter to Ellen, Miller wrote "I am writing to you in hopes that you have not shipped out the TV I have won, I want to send it to a less fortunate family. It was more than I could have ever asked for to go your show with the people I love and hear you say my name, I even got to hug you and you're my idol. I got to meet my favourite person in the whole entire planet, and I feel like a television would be too much on top of that. I try to live my life following your advice and being kind and making the world a better place."

Miller, who currently works 4 part time jobs and is living at home with her parents to save money while going to school to become a speech pathologist, drives 45 minutes each way to get to school in a car that has a cracked windshied, broken mirror, and is starting to rust.

When Ellen and her friends at Chevrolet read Miller's letter, they wanted to continue the cirlce of giving by giving her a new 2016 Chevrolet Malibu.

Once back at home in Airdrie, Miller was able to go to Davis Chevrolet GMC Buick and choose a custom 2016 Chevrolet Malibu and have it ordered exactly as she wanted it.

"She was excited that she could get what she wanted when it came to all the option and the different things that the car could be equiped with," said Glenn Smaha, Davis Chevrolet General Manager. "They put absolutely no restrictions on her, so it was just order whatever brand new Chevy Malibu that it is that you want to be driving."

The car has been ordered and will be presented to Miller on July 21 at Davis Chevrolet.
