'Fall back' for Daylight Saving Time is always a time to rejoice the extra hour of sleep given to us.

The morning's getting lighter earlier makes it easier to get out of bed and ready for the day... but evenings are getting darker earlier, as well.

With the evenings becoming darker at a faster rate, pedestrian safety is put at risk.

Drivers and pedestrians are being asked to be extra cautious at crosswalks.

According to Alberta Transportation, collisions involving pedestrians and vehicles are higher in months with less daylight and winter conditions. Many of the collisions occurred between 3:00p.m. and 7:00p.m.
