The Southern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit (SADCRU) has recovered a vast array of stolen construction equipment worth over $150,000 from a rural property east of Calgary.

On Thursday, August 20th, SADCRU entered into an investigation which ended up with a large amount of stolen property being located on the property.

Among the items recovered was a front-end loader, two bobcats, a 2019 flat-deck trailer, a Kubota side by side, multiple skid steer attachments as well as several other construction equipment implements.

Almost all the property, which had an estimated value of $150,000.00, has already been returned to its rightful owners.

Multiple property-related charges are pending against a 30-year-old man from Calgary who is currently in custody on other property-related offenses.

The Southern Alberta Crime Reduction Unit would like to thank the Calgary Police Service, Strathmore RCMP, and the Airdrie Crime Reduction Team with their assistance with the investigation and property recovery.
