The Crossfield Chamber of Commerce had one of their best years ever, and they expect more in 2018.

Executive Director, Nicole Vandenberg says the town's Chamber has grown quite well in the last few years.

"We did way more events, we did way more stuff for our members then we had in previous years. Last year we only presented 3 awards, this year we presented 7."

The Chamber held their final events of the year, where they recognized local businesses at their annual awards ceremony on October 13th.

Vandenberg says that despite troubles in the provincial economy, more businesses are setting up shop.

"I do know that we've had some newer ones just recently who are moving into Crossfield in the next little while. Economic development is getting better. We are projecting to grow so our businesses will be able to grow with the community."
