Here is everything you need to know.

The CP Holiday Train is always a magical evening filled with music, colourful lights, and hot chocolate. This year, the Holiday Train will pull into Nose Creek Park on Main Street, east side of the CP tracks in Airdrie at 5:30 p.m. Airdrie residents will get to enjoy a musical performance by Terri Clark, Sierra Noble, and Kelly Prescott from 5:45-6:45 p.m.

The Holiday Train is decorated with a bright display of colourful LED Christmas lights, with one of the boxcars modified to serve as a stage for performers.

This will be the CP Holiday Train's 20th year riding across Canada and raising money, food donations, and awareness for foodbanks and hunger issues in Canada.

The 1,000 foot long train will continue into Cochrane on Thursday, December 13, at 2:45 p.m. between River and 4th Street, behind the Provincial building. Cochrane locals will get to watch musical performances by Sam Roberts Band, Kelly Prescott and Tracey Brown.

The event is free and food donations are always appreciated.
