The building on Main Street in Airdrie fell victim to a small fire last Thursday (January 24).

According to Brenda Hume, Executive Director at Community Links, they will remain closed today and tomorrow.

"We're continuing to be closed because of the ongoing complications with the mechanical issues surrounding the elevator. It's something we are being very careful about before we have people in our space so we're just waiting for the go-ahead."

Despite the closure, Community Links is still offering some services to those who may need them. Limited phone intake support is still available as well as continued off-site programming. For intake support, please call 403-945-3900 or 1-866-945-3905.

Hume is grateful for Airdrie's continuing support throughout this time.

"I'd like to thank the community for offering their support and we're sorry for the inconvenience. We're doing our best to continue to support the community as best we can."

Hume hopes that Community Links can open their office back up after tomorrow. You can find updates about reopening on their social media pages.
