Cochrane RCMP have charged a Tsuut'ina Nation male with nine criminal code charges as a result of an incident on the Stoney Nakoda First Nation.

On August 14, Cochrane RCMP were advised of a dangerous disturbance the Tsuut'ina Nation Police Service were investigating regarding a male that was believed to be traveling to the Stoney Nakoda First Nation. At approximately 3:30 am on August 15, Cochrane RCMP were dispatched to Stoney Nakoda for a disturbance involving the same person.

The armed male slashed the complainant's tires and threatened to shoot police if they attended. The suspect at some point fled into the woods near the residence with a second male.

RCMP with assistance of the Police Dog Service and K-Division Emergency Response Team South were able to locate the two men.
