Airdrie drivers are starting to see a lot more potholes now that winter is fading through the rearview mirror.

Mayor Peter Brown says that the City is working with temporary fixes on the potholes until the weather warms up consistently.

“Once the weather’s warmer we’ll have some permanent asphalt in place but there’s also going to be some road signage.”

Mayor Brown also says that crews are working hard to make sure they address the potholes.

“We’re getting to them as quickly as possible. I really encourage people to slow down. What we’re going to try and do in the short term is put up some temporary product as the weather gets warmer cause obviously you can’t fill them in the cold.”

If you see any potholes that need attention, you should contact the Airdrie Public Works department.
