The City of Airdrie is looking for feedback on the East Points Community Area Structure Plan, especially from residents in the Yankee Valley Estates and the rural areas of Airdrie.

"The East Points Community Area Structure Plan, it'll obviously provide the structure and the planning for future industrial development over the six quarter sections in East Airdrie," said Mayor Peter Brown.

The East Points CASP will cover 960 acres of land in the northeast of the city, and is targeted for industrial growth.

The City held an open house on the East Points CASP on October 11, which Mayor Brown said was well attended. There is another way for residents to voice their opinion on the plan.

"There is feedback also on an online survey," said Mayor Brown. "Again, just encourage people, this is a significant piece, in particular to the rural residential. You need to be part of the process."
