Councillors will be back together tonight (August 21) for the first Council Meeting since July 4.

On tonight's agenda, Council will give three readings to a new Council Code of Conduct bylaw. They'll also rescind an obsolete firearms bylaw from 1963 and give readings to a bylaw that will change the minimum size of smoking signage in Airdrie.

There will be a public hearing before Council gives three readings to a Land Use Bylaw amendment for the Cobblestone Creek area.

Council will also clarify their intent on part of the grant agreement between the City and the Airdrie and Area Health Benefits Cooperative.

The City is also being asked to provide correspondence to Alberta Culture and Tourism regarding an invitation to place a bid to host the 2020 Alberta Summer Games.

The meeting will start tonight at 6:00pm at City Hall.
