Residents of Airdrie will have an opportunity to meet some of the leaders within the community.

The event takes place on Tuesday, October 2nd from 5 p.m-7 p.m at Genesis Place.

Mayor Peter Brown says there will be some presentations from Municipal Enforcement as well as RCMP.

"Its really an opportunity that came to pass in January. It's really the Airdrie RCMP, Municipal Enforcement and Citizens On Patrol and of course members of the council.  We are inviting residents out to learn about the different services and projects the city is taking on."

Mayor Brown also says it's a great opportunity to meet the leadership in the community.

"You want to be able to come down and meet our leadership in both organizations, we get a lot of calls that I think sometimes could just require some more understanding of the services that we provide but I do know with the property crime and other things going on there is certainly some frustration from our residents."
