As wildly popular as the first Airdrie Children's Festival was, the second one is shaping up to be twice as popular in 2019.

That's because the festival is expanding to a two-day event, and now we know which two days.

The Festival Society announced June 1st and 2nd as the dates for the festival in 2019.  Board member Tara Levick says, "We were blown away with the support and excitement from this year's event and we can't wait to grow and expand this year.  The board has been working since August with plans for the 2019 event."

Because of the support of Airdrie businesses, the festival will again be a free event and will take place at Nose Creek Park.  It will feature a children's village play area, entertainment stage with great children's entertainers, inspiration station and workshops that will expand kid's knowledge.

The weekend festival will be topped off with a free, outdoor movie in the park.
