After a long regular season, the Bert Church Chargers senior boys will have a chance at pure fun with an exhibition game tomorrow (February 16) against the Harlem Crowns

"To be honest with you, they're really the Harlem Globetrotters without the Harlem Globetrotter name," said Chargers head coach Mike Sera. "They do similar things, it's a similar style game. Our boys are kind of the Washington Generals."

The Harlem Globetrotters are known to put on entertaining games with tricks, winning against their opponents, the Washington Generals, in embarrassing fashion. Sera said his team won't be embarrassed by the Harlem Crowns.

"They prep the boys a little bit. We're expected to play defence, we're expected to run our offence and stuff like that. But there are times where all of the sudden, they're interacting with the official or they're up in the stands, stuff like that."

Sera explained that the ticket sales from the event will help out with Bert Church's sports programs.

"There is a fundraising aspect to it. There is tickets being sold. Some the money obviously goes to the Crowns to cover their expenses and then some of it stays within our athletics program."
