It’s going to be a warm week as temperatures could rival those from some summer vacation spots.

Environment Canada has issued heat warnings for the week as temperatures could reach 30 degrees or warmer.

Temperatures could hit 33 degrees by the end of the week

“We’re forecasting a high of about 30 degrees,” says Meteorologist Chris Wielki, “rising to 33 by Friday and then that cold front goes through on Saturday which drops temperatures back to normal.”

Wielki says that the normal high temperature for this time of the year is 22.

The warm spell could also break records that have been around for nearly a century.

“They’re pretty close to records every day,” says Wielki, “Wednesday’s record is 31.5 and then Friday’s record is actually a little lower at 30.5 and we’re seeing 33 so it looks like we should break a record at some point this week.”

The record temperature for today was 33.3 degrees set in 1920.
