An armed suspect kept RCMP busy in Cochrane last night (May 10).

Constable Kary Moore says a call at 11:20 p.m sent them to a liquor store on 4th Avenue.

"An undisclosed amount of money was taken, and shortly thereafter within an hour, the Cochrane RCMP responded to a second armed robbery of a second liquor store in Cochrane."

Both robberies occurred by knife point.

Police are trying to determine if the two incidents are connected to an armed robbery that occurred in Airdrie last night.

"There was an armed robbery in Airdrie as well; now we're not sure if they're connected," said Moore.

Constable Dan Martin with the Airdrie RCMP detachment said they are unsure at this time if the robberies are related.

RCMP are still investigating robberies in Cochrane and Airdrie and details will be forthcoming.
