Make sure to show your support for those living with cancer by wearing a daffodil pin this month.

You may have seen some daffodil pin donation boxes around Airdrie lately.

The money that the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) raises during daffodil month, goes towards helping those living with cancer and their families.

These donations also help fund research as well as support services for those who may need it.

According to the campaign's website, daffodils are a symbol of strength and courage in the fight against cancer.

If you're looking for somewhere in Airdrie to get a daffodil pin, you can find them at Pureform Radiology, Starbucks locations, and the City of Airdrie.

If you would like a pin, Sarah Eccleston, the Revenue Development Coordinator from CCS, says there is a minimum suggested donation they prefer.

"We do have a minimum recommendation of $2 a pin, but any donation is more then appreciated."

Eccleston says that daffodil month has been happening since the beginning of CCS, and it expanded as a fundraising campaign nation wide.
