Albertans will have the opportunity to have their questions, suggestions, and ideas back to Ottawa in a series of round table discussions being held for the new Alberta Jobs Taskforce.

The Conservative caucus created the Alberta Jobs Taskforce in order to help Albertans get back to work.

"That's the idea behind the Alberta Jobs Taskforce is to give people a chance to come, speak to us, give us some suggestions and ideas. Let us know what improvements can be done, what the government should be doing," said Banff-Airdrie MP Blake Richards.

The round table discussions will allow constituents a chance to have their say.

"Certainly what it'll do is give us the opportunity to propose some suggestions and propose some alternatives and give constituents all across Alberta the chance to be heard on these issues."

One of the biggest issues, according to Richards, is the upcoming carbon tax, which will raise costs for families nation wide.

"One of the Alberta Jobs Taskforce sessions will be happening right here in our community so we encourage anyone who has any thoughts or ideas to come out and share them with us," said Richards.

The round table discussion will be held at the Ramada in Airdrie on November 8, 2016, at 3:00p.m.
