The words on the cover of the Airdrie Koinonia Christian School grad program said it all.

"When God sees you doing your part, developing what He has given you, then He will do His part and open doors that no man can close."

The 14 graduating grade 12 students from the school have done their part over the past 12 years and will continue to do their part in the years ahead, seeking out doors that have been opened by God as they move on to post-secondary education or the work force after grad.

On Saturday, family and friends gathered at the AKCS school gym for their grad ceremonies, hosted by principal Earl Driedger who quipped to the grads, "You clean up very nicely."

Airdrie Deputy Mayor Fred Burley, MLA Angela Pitt and MP Blake Richards were all on hand to bring words of encouragement for the graduating class.
