The co-owner of an Airdrie massage therapy business is now facing two additional charges of sexual assault after more victims came forward.

On September 22nd, 2018, Airdrie RCMP initiated an investigation into allegations of sexual assault by Upendra Bhatt of Calgary.  The 60-year-old is the co-owner of Blossoms Massage and Spa in Airdrie.

As a result of that investigation, Bhatt was charged with Sexual Assault.  That matter is still before the courts.

Now, Corporal Gina Slaney says more victims have stepped forward.

"Since that initial investigation, two other victims have come forward and alleged that they were also sexually assaulted.  Now Mr. Bhatt is facing two additional sexual assault charges which are alleged to have occurred between 2015 and 2017."

Slaney says it's unknown at this time if there are any more victims but the Airdrie RCMP continue to investigate.

Bhatt's next court appearance is set for March 7th, 2019 in Airdrie Provincial Court.
