The Airdrie Pro Rodeo is finished for another year and the performances this time were flawless.

Laurie Young, Secretary of the Airdrie Rodeo Ranch Association, said there weren't any injuries reported this year.

"Overall, I think we had some great rides. We're very lucky nobody got injured this year, so that's always a bonus for us when all the cowboys, cowgirls and animals walk out of the arena healthy."

This year, the rodeo surprised it's visitors with an entertaining event.

"It went over very well, it was a lot of fun," said Young, "It was something a lot of people haven't seen before."

The event in question is known as Wild Cow Milking, which involves cowboys teaming up into teams of two with one roping the cow and the other running on foot to milk it as quickly as possible.

While this may sound easy, the reaction of the crowd and the hilarity that ensued could tell a different story.

Young added the rodeo committee is planning on bringing the event back for the Airdrie Pro Rodeo's 50th Anniversary, which will be next year.
