The Airdrie Pride Society has made their stance on GSA's clear.

Bill 24 was introduced earlier in the month and would protect students involved in gay-staight alliances. Following up on this bill, the Airdrie Pride Society has made it clear that they will continue to stand by LGBTQ+ rights and GSAs. According Kiersten Mohr with the Airdrie Pride Society, this isn't just a trivial political topic.

"This shouldn't be a political issue. This is human rights, this is protecting the safety of our kids. This is giving them the choice of when to confide or when to tell people that they think they need to tell in their lives."

The Airdrie Pride Society takes pride in itself for advocating and standing up for those LGBTQ+ people who may at times feel alone.

"When these clubs or these GSAs or QSAs, they're safe. They can confide in who they want to confide in, you know, in a timeline that they want to confide in."

Mohr lends the support of Airdrie Pride to any GSA or other organization that may need a helping hand.

"If there's any more that need support or need help navigating some of these issues or, quite franky, just need some grown ups to stand besinde them, thats what we're here and willing to do."
