An Airdrie man has made a plea in regards to the death of his common law wife.

Duane Redelback pleaded guilty to killing Ruth Degayo back in 2006 and leaving her body at an abandoned warehouse in Exshaw.

In the confession, Redelback claimed that he killed Degayo over a dispute, when he wanted to go for a beer with friends and she was looking to go to the mall.

Redelback was sentenced to 15 years in prison on February 23rd after making the plea.
