He entered the Balzac Gas Station and demanded money from the clerk, brandishing an airsoft pistol.

Airdrie RCMP have laid numerous charges against 20 year-old Cody Madigan of Airdrie after he robbed the Balzac Gas Station on Saturday (December 29). At approximately 3:12 pm, Madigan entered the gas station and left with an undisclosed amount of money, fleeing in a vehicle. 

Madigan was later located in Airdrie's Luxstone community with the help of tips from the public, as well as the RCMP Police Dog Service Unit. He was arrested without incident.

He has been charged with 5 Criminal Code offences, including Robbery with a Firearm, Using a Firearm while committing an offence, and Pointing a Firearm.

Madigan will appear in Airdrie Provincial Court on January 31, 2019.
